Careers and Internships at IBMM

Weekend Gift Shop Staffer:
If you are interested in working two, three, or four weekends per month from 9:45 AM to 5:15 PM Saturdays and 12:45 to 4:15 PM Sundays, please call Brenda Smith at 270-926-7891.

Gift Shop staff are responsible for database entry, light correspondence, answering the telephone, selling event tickets, giving directions, meeting the public, selling Gift Shop merchandise and keeping the Gift Shop in good order. A knowledge of the area, its other attractions, and the ability to give directions is a definite plus.

Requirements: Applicant must be timely and dependable, well-dressed, courteous and friendly, good with the public, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, accurate and adept with basic accounting and database entry, and possess highly-developed telephone skills.

Internships:
There are currently two summer internships open. These are for college students or recent college graduates only. For more information, call Catherine Hayden, Registrar or Forrest Roberts , Curator at 270-926-7891.
