McKnight's current program, "Uptown Bluegrass" begun in 1982, is broadcast by a string of mostly Canadian radio stations, and has been streamed on the World Wide Web since 2003. This hour-long program captures the excitement of bluegrass and professional hosting that Katy Daley has been bringing to the air for over 30 years now. Katy celebrates the music, interviews musicians, and presents features like "Musician's Tips" and "Music that Matters". A native Washingtonian, Katy grew up in Tokyo, Japan and Camp Chinen, Okinawa when her parents were stationed overseas between 1958 and 1963. It was during that time a show on Armed Forces Radio called "Rice Paddy Round-up" fueled her love of bluegrass and country music. Katy is a graduate of the 2008 IBMA Leadership Bluegrass Class.
