Joe Val Bluegrass Festival: February 14-16, 2014

Since lately it’s been warmer up north than here in Kentucky, you might take a trip toward Boston, to Framingham, Mass – to the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel.

The 29th Joe Val Bluegrass Festival takes place February 14 – 16 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel. They hope you can join them for their Winter Bluegrass Reunion. Three days, two stages and over sixty Master Classes and Workshops. Featured artists include The Gibson Brothers, Blue Highway, Dale Ann Bradley, and a rare area performance by Chris Hillman and the Desert Rose Band.  More details here:

Here is a festival preview from Steve Ide –  Also see the Boston Bluegrass Union website.

Vickie Vaughn Band Concert – January 24, 2014

The Vickie Vaughn Band performs for the public at the IBMM on Friday January 24

Join us for another fabulous evening of music, featuring the Vickie Vaughn Band.  Now making her living as a full-time musician in Nashville, TN, Vickie originally hailed from Paducah, KY, where the young adult acoustic music scene is jumping. She and her stellar bandmates are performing 25 concerts in the Bluegrass Museum’s “Bluegrass in the Schools” program in January, 2014. We are so fortunate to have this example of a terrific band to inspire our students. And as for all you adults — just wait and see — come to this concert and you’ll be uber-inspired, too!!!

Friday January 24, 2014

Doors open at 6:30 pm;  Concert starts at 7:00 pm
